I Am The Universe

It’s like what you said,

I’m an entire universe.

You’ll see the big picture,

By the end of this verse.

I was born in an explosion,

That nothing can reverse.

It formed infinite galaxies,

So incredible and diverse.

Can you see all the stars?

When you look up at night.

They’re all part of me,

So wonderful and bright.

They shine with the planets,

A pleasure to the sight.

I am an entire universe,

With all its greatness and might.

I am an entire universe,

That’s full of dark matter.

So mysterious and strange,

It causes hearts to shatter.

Is it a gift or a curse?

Is what I asked the creator.

But there was no answer,

Perhaps I’ll receive it later.

I’m full of other things too,

Like meteors and black holes.

One could terminate all life,

And the other consumes souls.

I’m also extremely cold,

That my heart froze.

I conceal more darkness,

Than my quiet face shows.

Am I an entire universe?

I have to come and confess.

That I’m just an ordinary man,

Nothing more and nothing less.

Maybe I’m completely guilty,

For the darkness I possess.

Or maybe I’m just a victim,

Of feelings I can’t express.

I’m not going to make excuses,

And keep going back and forth.

All the flaws you have seen,

Been inside of me since birth.

So now that I’m stripped down,

And brought down to Earth.

Would you still love me,

Now that you know my worth?
